We interviewed 5 teachers about the landscape of classroom teaching and lesson planning. From this user research, we gleaned the following insights:
The hardest part of using online resources in lesson planning is refining the information she finds to create effective and engaging materials for her students
Finding accessible and understandable primary source documents is a challenge
Lesson planning is constantly iterative
Curriculum appropriate for one group of students won’t be for another group of students

We tested our resource regeneration flow with 2 teachers using a contextual inquiry according to the System Usability Scale and Net Promoter Scale.
According to the System Usability Scale and Net Promoter Scale, our users found EdDen simple and easy to use and would recommend our product to others, especially new teachers. Experienced teachers would use EdDen for planning interactive activities whereas new teachers would benefit most from using EdDen.
